"I have a model R16610A submariner which I think is 1998 model. Every photo of a 16610 that I see has "Swiss Made" below the 6 o'clock mark, but mine just says "Swiss". What's up?"
Svar:
"Don't worry the "A" serials just said "swiss"..........in 50 years it will be worth more "
Svar 2:
"The Swiss government has a department that.. decides what is placed on the dial of all swiss made watches since this is such an important part of their economy. It was probably that year that they decided to try "swiss" only. Or maybe they tried other varieties as well along with the "swiss made" types."
På tidligere modeller (starten af 60'erne) brugte de også kun "SWISS"
