Yes Rolex are a mass produced assembly belt product , like a few other brands i could name 
But they make a very very good product with fantastic quality control . They have used their pricing politics to control the market for their watches for years . Are they worth it ? NO absolutly not . Will people still buy them because they believe it takes one year to make one YES . Can they keep doing it ? No ! I think that in the future because of the net and word of mouth . People will understand that Rolex is really a quite ordinary watch . And no where near the best of swiss brands . When their prices start getting to close to AP they are asking for problems . The world is changing but Rolex think they can carry on in the same way for ever . Think about this . The more they sell the more ordinary they become . They have reached this point for me , and i like them
