Konklusion:

Mænd kan li biler og ure - og enige bliver vi aldrig - andet end enige om, vi kan li begge dele <!-- s:up: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_Up.gif" alt="" title="Thumps up" /><!-- s:up: -->

Tak for den farverige forklaring alle sammen <!-- s:up: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_Up.gif" alt=":up:" title="Thumps up" /><!-- s:up: -->

willy Skrev:Audi are near the bottem of the german ADAC list of reliable cars.So i would compare a Rolex with a Lexus because it is about the most reliable mechanical watch in the world bar none.Tudor are exceptionally well made and being owned by Rolex have a reputation to live up to.I would say a tudor Is very very close to Rolex in build quality only the Engine is different. But it is a very reliable caliber in a Tudor. So i would say Rolex=Lexus Tudor=BMW. Tudors are also holding prices very well in the vintage market. Willy

Willy, you are completely missing my point.
I chose to compare Rolex & Tudor with Skoda and Audi, because they are both owned by the same company (Volkswagen group) but they are two different kinds of cars that appeal to different kinds of people and furthermore do they have different price tags... exactly like Rolex & Tudor.
Let's arrange some of the brands in the VW group in order of "luxury status"

-Audi
-Volkswagen
-SEAT
-Skoda

Audi, as being in the top, with the more expensive price tag and a better "perceived" quality and stronger brand name... The way I see it, Audi would be comparable to Rolex, where Skoda on the other hand, is a budget version of "the same" car (they share a lot of parts) but with different brand value and price tag and therefore comparable to a Tudor.
Let's be honest, if one had the freedom of choice no one in their right mind would chose a Tudor/Skoda over an Audi/Rolex

If you want to compare a Rolex to a Lexus you should compare Tudor to a Toyota - there is no comparison with a BMW in that perspective what so ever (yes I own a BMW Icon_party )

Ok i can see your perspective in that comparison.Rolex is a luxury brand name and Tudor is a middle luxury brand.Lexus is a luxury brand and Audi is a middle luxury brand .That is why i compaired that way.Anyway your BMW is a much better built car than Audi <!-- s:up: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_Up.gif" alt="" title="Thumps up" /><!-- s:up: --> Icon_e_wink Willy

Ro-lex-us. Historien bag navnet er vidst en ganske anden.
Navnet "Rolex" er også godt fundet på!
Nogle ord "smager" bare bedre end andre!
Forresten: Lexus ER på markedet i Japan, fra omkring 2005-06!
