You are, of course, entitled to your opinions about watches and even your fellow forum members.

However, this is a place for dialogue and exchange of insights, views, etc. It is NOT a place for ad-hominem attacks and the continuous creation of bad will.

If your only mission here is to keep on telling us that we don’t know anything, that we don’t understand watches, that whatever we write is pathetic, that we are unthinking puppets of the watch industry, etc. etc. I can only suggest that you either find a new purpose or stop showing up .

Please consider taking all your unique insights and that thing that goes for critical thinking in you mind elsewhere.

If what you call creating bad will,means not agreeing with you and your friends in
the back clapping club,then i think you will be disappointed Claus.
And yes this is a place of dialogue and insights.So do not be so surprised if i do

see,that it was one such cronie of yours who started the personal comments.

                   I gave my honest opinion on a TV program about watches.It is just
my opinion,it is not the bloody word of God.Commenting on my opinion is okay,
thats what this site is about.

and keep your personal attacks to yourselves.If you or anyone else disagree with what
i wrote,then say so like a grown up person,and do not come with personal comments.

                      Peter PBR,was in someways right,i should not have answered the first
personal attack in that fashion.But like i said to him,i do not like turning the other cheek
to people who remind me of school yard bullies.They always seem to flock together

As usual, you are the picture of innocence.

Have you _ever_ wondered why people react so strongly to your many of your comments?

Is it because they can’t stand to get push back on opinions, facts, etc?

Or could it be that the ‘straight talking’ that you so proudly deliver is always delivered in what could be taken as an absolute and very condescending manner? You’re always right and everybody else are always ignorants if not paid secret agents of the watch industry.

Anyway, just wanted to share my 5 cents in the spirit of open dialogue

I will now go back to ignoring your posts. Please return the favor.

Jacob i was giving my honest opinion on what i thought about the program,
nothing more.And it was not all critical,read my comments on Christian Lass.
You know more than anyone on this site about my views on certain so called
watch experts,who are so mixed up in the business of selling watches.So
much so that getting a qualified answer from them is virtually impossible.
                               I have my opinions about them,and i see no reason
to hide them.I think the program was more about pushing certain brands
and their watches.It was a wasted opportunity to teach the public about 
how the industry works.We had the usual suspects fawning over their expensive
watches,with no real insight into watches.

                        It would maybe have been been better Jacob,if you came
with a comment about making personal attacks on people you do not agree
with ? I remember many years ago we had a member of this site,who went
so far to comment on your wife,because of something you had written.And
i remember how angry you were.

                       Even if my comments were over the top,in some peoples
eyes.It is stupid beyond belief to go after the person instead of commenting
on what is written.And i admit i have been guilty of this in my reply to this
site member.

No i never wonder why i get such comments Claus.Most watch forums have there
little groupings of like minded people,who can feel warm and cosy in the company
of people who have exactly the same opinions.Its a human trait that most of the 
people in this world have.Nothing wrong with it,after all we are a tribe of flock
animals.
                        People will always tend to get together with others that share their
opinions and likes.Just human nature.I personally do not want to fit into that category,
and i never wish to stop learning about the world we live in.Give it a try sometime

Maybe the watch passion is just about taking a break and enjoying watches and sharing a common interest.

Imparting “the truth” and “being honest” (as if anyone here is actually dishonest) is simply not the end all be all of hanging out on a watch site.

Enthusiasm comes in many shapes and colours and while I may be more akin to some rather than others I would not be without any of them.
