willy Skrev:I know they are classics but I am trying to tell you that none of your examples have the characteristics to become classics. IWC messed it up by changing the AT design several times. I'm not sure they even have the history. I would say that the Ingenieur or Pilot may be better candidates. The Sinn with the German design may do it but history is not going to help any of these watches. A classic will always be from the 50, 60 or 70'ies because this was when the technological world changed and the wristwatch was important as an instrument and still being developed as an instrument and tool. They have always been classics Klaus.I was talking about newer watches that could become classics. All the watches you name are already classics Willy

I guess a future classic will not be based on it as an instrument but mainly on it's design.
