Eterna are coming back

Eterna are a great brand with a very under estimated history . Not so many people know that Eterna started ETA and that their use of ball bearings in watches has been copied by nearly all the watch brands you can think of . They were bought by Porsche Design in 1995 and developed the Indicator Caliber 6036 for them . They have since been sold again and once again are operating under their own brand name . They have developed a new caliber 3800 thats works using ceramic ball bearings , these have numerous advantages over standard ball bearings . Less wear and less need for service . It is well worth looking at their new line of watches with in house calibers . I think their design department is exceptional , they are making beautiful watches . I think many watch freaks could be supprised if they google this brand and see what they have to offer today . I predict a very bright future for them again . I have always liked them because they know how to build calibers and watches , and everyone underestimates them . Willy

Jeg har altid syntes godt om deres Vaughan big Date. Jeg ville elske at have et på alligator-rem. "Kedelige", understatede ure tiltrækker mig! (På samme måde som et ældre Rolex Air-King eller Explorer I)

På chrono24 er der et Eterna Matic 1000 til salg til ca. 2500 kr. Det er i stål med en Rolexlignende kant. Er det et ur der er værd at se nærmere på. Det skulle være ubrugt, men med ny rem?
