complaint about seiko SBDX001

Willy, I am sure that You can get help from Seiko regarding Your problem under the guarantee. In my opinion, the least they could do was to let a very beautiful woman assist You getting the MM300 off Your wrist when going to bed. She might even tuck You in so that Your head could be somewhere else than on the MM300 Icon_e_wink Icon_razz Icon_redface

Officially, Springdrive movements have a service interval of 4 years - if I remember correctly. It is up to the owners if they stick to the recommandations - I for sure would not Icon_e_wink

I have had my eyes on a couple of Springdrive watches, but they DO need to go to Japan to get serviced if anything happens to them. Remember, that a chrono Springdrive watch has over 400 pieces in it Icon_e_surprised so it really demands special training and expertise to service a piece like that.

Rumours have it that it will be possible to have Springdrive movements serviced in Germany in the feature (if not already - my memory is letting me down Icon_redface )

Regarding price on used higher end Seiko´s, they will of course loose some value when compared to new, but they hold their value cosiderably better than mid-end-level Seiko watches. Popular models, like the SDBD001 and others, hold their value very well, and if prices on these pieces keep on rising for new ones, value will also go up on the used pieces - like the value for the SBDX001 f.i. has done Icon_e_wink

But who cares about value ? When You get a nice piece like one of the great high end Seiko´s, You never let it go Icon_razz

A little Springdrive reading for the interested : "http://www.seiko.dk/technology/springdrive/index.html" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;">http://www.seiko.dk/technology/springdrive/index.html

And honestly, what is it about this thread ? No pictures ... ??? Icon_rolleyes You can have one of mine Icon_e_wink Icon_razz
