I read somewhere that one of the band members only had a moustache. His nickname was Beard Icon_e_biggrin1

Han hedder virkelig Frank Lee Beard.
(Måske) ældste band med original besætning.
Men ikke “måske” bedste boogie-band!

Glemmer aldrig da jeg hørte ZZ Top første gang.
Det var på tysk TV, en af de berømte koncerter fra Grugahalle, Rockpalast i 1980.
Troede ikke at tre mennesker kunne lave så meget dejlig musik/larm/musik.

Ved disse koncerter hørte jeg også for første gang Rory Gallagher 1977 og David Lindley 1982.

Fantastisk musik. De to sidstnævnte har jeg oplevet live.
Lindley i 2013, lidt skuffende. Han var solo og ikke særlig nærværende, og hurtigt væk efter koncerten. Ellers er han jo fantastisk. (Og flotte skjorter og sko!).

Rory Gallaghers 1977 optræden i Rockpalast var virkelig noget af det bedste.

They are considered so by most rock critics .Great musicians that also
wrote great blues numbers.At their peak they were the biggest live band
in the states.Not just a fun band,these guys could really play.
Jesus just left Chicago,is a great blues song.Their background is pure
south state rock-blues and boogie,its in their blood.
