Just remember that the Offshore is a dress diver . And because of its size will get more damage to the case than a standard size Royal Oak . The sharp edges on the case have to be treated with care because a serious hack cannot be polished out without ruining the watch .

You have to be really rich to use this watch as a diver . In my humble opinion the Offshore is one of the most ridiculous watches made today . But at the same time the Royal Oak is a beautiful watch and a classic with high end calibers in them all .

I know several that have owned Offshores , but have sold them again because they could not relax with this watch . Always thinking about not to hit a door post or something with it .

Its ok they make these very expensive divers with high end calibers . But to be honest they are made to be seen not used .

A dress watch is just that . A watch for going out to be seen , and looking good . And i can think of hundreds of watches that beat the Offshore hands down .

But if you buy one with the intent of never selling it again and using it as a daily watch . It is a strong watch that will not let you down . But after 20-30 years of hard use you could only sell it for scap metal . Willy

The 2 Italiens Guys I know, my sisters husmand and his friend, both own AP. My sisters husband Peitro Works 50 hours a week and when he moved fast he plays soccer like 1 time a mounths with no Watch on. And his friend Torino usely Wears his 2 Rolexwathes and his old AP at special acations, but he also Works 50 hours a week and no sport and no gardenwork.
Both AP that I talk about, are very thin so they can hardly get a knock, and even thougk, the off shore models are thicker, they are not made out of the same steel lunchboxes are made of, <!-- s:lol: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_lol.gif" alt="" title="Laughing" /><!-- s:lol: --> so it still takes alot to make a dicn, but ofcourse they scrath as easy as many others watches.

Nick

Faktisk knap heller ift.

Tak for svarene

So to your way of thinking only losers buy cheap watches and cars Icon_rolleyes

I have owned Lang - Patek- AP - etc etc etc . I saved up to buy them knowing they are more expensive to own and service . But i can understand people who would not or could not do this . I respect that, and consider myself lucky having owned these watches . But i would never look down my nose at a guy wearing a Seiko or driving a Skoda . I have also owned a Ferrari by the way .

Dreams are sometimes the only thing some people have . Therefore they should be respected by the people who have made their dreams come true .

The sharp edges on the cases of all Oak watches are by there very nature prone to getting dents that cannot be polished out . I have seen many and heard of many more . Willy
