Rolex Oyster Quartz overmand - Stenstrup - 20-12-2012
Hej.
Jeg så at en af urerne valgt til årets ur 2012 var et Grand Seiko highbeat. (36.000 beat pr minut). Det i sig selv, (at et Seiko blev en af de udvalgte), er måske ikke så usædvanlig, fordi et Certina DS aktiondykkerur blev også årets ur 2011 eller 2012 inden for 5.000 kr. klassen.
Nej, det som slog mig var at Seiko lavede et Grand Seiko quartz ur, hvor værkets bevægelige dele er indkaplset og produceret i vacumopgivelser uden luft og støv, og når der skal skiftes batteri er de bevægeelige dele så indenlukket at intet kommer dertil ved åbning af bagkapslen.
Resultatet er at der skal ikke udføres service på uret i 40 - 50 år. Seiko selv skriver teroritisk 50 år, men 40 år kan vel også gøre det.
Der er vidt kun adgang til elblokken og motoren på uret, eftersom tandhjulene ikke kan gå i stykker og derfor et lukket inden for evigt. Man regner kort sagt med at uret aldrig skal skilles, renses og smøres. Måske en enkelt gang en ny motor og elblock i urets levetid.
Prisen på Grand Seiko automatic er omkring 30.000 - 35.000 kr. Jeg ved ikke hvad quartzmodellen koster men vel 25.000 -30.000 kr. Rolex Oysterquartz overmand. Det tog også bare 35 år at gøre det bedre <!-- s:lol: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_lol.gif" alt=":lol:" title="Laughing" /><!-- s:lol: -->

Remember the Rolex is an old watch . But it is still one of the most beautful watches out there . Seiko are not even close . In say 30 years time the Rolex will be worth a small fortune , the seiko will not . Because Sieko will make newer and better Quartz all of the time . Rolex made the Benchmark Quartz watch , and as you know nothing beats a benchmark in the history of watches . But i like Seiko , and they have made a great caliber . Willy
