I just got a hard to sell watch and i am happy - willy - 19-05-2012
Well i did it.I just treated myself to a watch i never ever thought i would buy.But i got a good deal even if i will have a hell of a job to sell it again.The watch is a Maurice Lacroix Pontos Decentrique GMT Titanium Limited to one thousand edition.And i am very happy.
It won the Red Dot design award in 2007 when it was first released.I saw this watch for the first time about 3 years ago and i could not forget it.But i dismissed it at the time because no way would i pay 40000kr for a ML watch.But as usual with ML the prices went down and i got the chance to get this watch for a good price.
It is made of grade 2 titanium and the case work is outstanding.We are in the class of IWC-JLC here,it is quite exceptional.The caliber is a reworked Sellita SW.200.And from what i have read about it,is finished to about the same standard as an Omega coaxil caliber.But the bridges are plated in black gold and it is decorated by hand.
The dial is the point of this watch.Pictures do not do it justice,it is beautiful.The way the elements catch the light and change colour is amazing for a watch in this price range.But at the same time very easy to read.The small dial on the face is the GMT time that is set by the button next to the winding crown.The small dial also has the sun and moon indicator.The date is very cleverly intregated into the dial at the 6 position.
Lets be clear this is not a high end watch and it does not pretend to be.But it shows up many big name brands who do not dare to do something different.It comes in a huge box with rubber and croc straps.The strap is quick change by the way.It is a big watch 46mm and it wears big because the glass area is so big on this watch.It is comfortable to wear for me,and it does not move around on my wrist.I have only had this watch for a short time,so i will have to get back to you all when i find any faults with it.And right now i do not care if i cannot sell it again <!-- s:lol: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_lol.gif" alt=":lol:" title="Laughing" /><!-- s:lol: --> Willy

Jeg, og alle eksperterne på nettet, synes at et så lille værk i et så stort ur med glasbagkasse ser komplet tåbeligt ud.

Could you put a few links to your comments? I am sure i can also find many that say the opposite.And as a matter of intrest what do you think about the caliber size of the RO.Off shore?

Det er også i mine øjne lidt tosset, at så mange ure skal være kæmpestore og så indeholde et lille værk - og så glasbagside - men det er jo smukt lavet her

kristofferJ Skrev:Er der ikke lidt lange over skive designet?Only the small dial really.The big problem with the Lange was that many complained it was not a easy watch to read.I thought it was a beautiful design but i got the Richard Lange instead because it was easier to read.But the Langematic is a beautiful watch indeed.This watch is very big so i can read it when i am in the old peoples home playing Bingo and getting my nappy changed by a beautiful nurse

Jeg har ikke nogle links Willy. Jeg læser ekstremt mange blogs og artikler på nettet, og har vitterligt ikke styr på, hvor jeg læser hvad.
