Francois Paul Journe is a true master watchmaker , and one of the greatest living today . Beside having his own watch brand , he has developed some of the greatest complications in the Swiss watch industry for many other top brands . He is a true master who does not compromise on the standard or finish of his watches . He has recieved so many awards from the watch industry that it would take me a long time to list them all . He started to build and produce his own watches in 1987 making the Octa and Souveraine lines . Today his entire production is sold out one year in advance , collectors are on the waiting list for years just to buy one of his watches . He works with a small staff of master watchmakers , and maybe only makes between 2-3000 watches a year . Every caliber is hand made and finished to a standard that makes many other so called high end watch brands calibers look like a standard ETA in comparison . He designs his watches from the outside . This means he designs the face of the watch first and then the caliber . He is a very rare type of master watchmaker . He can not only create and build great complications , he can also finish the calibers to an incredible standard . Many rate him after the English watchmaker George Daniels death , as maybe the greatest watchmaker in the world . Every great watch collection in this world has to have a F . P . Journe watch to be complete . This is the brand i talk about to ordinary people who think a Rolex is the best watch in the world . It makes it easy for them to understand when i explain the difference . It does not really matter if you do not like the design of these watches because that is not what a FPJ watch is about . Here we are at the level that i rate as a class above all other high end brands . Jeg er ikke i tvivl om det er fantastiske ure, men jeg kommer desværre aldrig til at eje et, af økonomiske årsager
Alt hvad jeg har læst, set og hørt fra hans side, er utroligt fascinerende og uden tvivl i en helt anden liga, end de ure vi normalt opererer med herinde.

var penge noget jeg "bare" havde, så havde jeg mindst et par stykker.Utrolig lækkere ure i et flot design

Men bestemt ikke et design, som er min smag -

Det med design/udseende er selvfølgelig meget subjektivt.
Personligt synes jeg at dette ur er meget smukt - faktisk meget i stil med glashütte og ALS (eller er det bare mig?)
