Re: Automatiske kontra manuelle ure ? - willy - 05-03-2012 For myself i prefere Automatic with a good power reserve. But i have noticed the big differences there are in self winding watches. Some you have to wear longer than others daily to keep them going until the next time you put them on.My Rolex DS i wore for maybe 5-6 hours a day sometimes stopped before i put it on again. My Omega PO even if i wear it for 4 hours a day just keeps going.I am not very active in the evening and i know this has a lot to do with it.But one thing is for sure there is a hell of a difference in how well a automatic functions in different conditions. That is why most of the great watch complications are hand wound.I think for sure if you go really up in accuracy for your watch then hand wind is the one to go for. There are so many types of self winding mechanisms in watches and so many people that use their watches in various types of aktivity that this subject has never completly researched. So i would say a automatic watch depends on the use you give it daily unless you have a watch winder. And a hand wound watch depends on you not forgetting to wind it. Willy so true really Re: Automatiske kontra manuelle ure ?
