What do you like to see on the face of a watch ? Do you like to see a very busy dial such as on many Brietling watches to name one brand ? Or do you like simple dials such as for example many IWC watches ? In general i like simple to read dials with big easy to read hands hour markings and date .Of course many watches have busy dials because the nature of the watch has to give you a lot of imformation in a small place.Moonphase-power reserve-chronograph-and other complications can soon fill up a watch dial. Some brands do it well and still manage to achieve a beautiful dial others make a mess of it.Even a watch i like , the Lange 1 does not have a dial that is easy to read. Its funny that some of the most beautiful watches made are unreadable in certain light conditions.I could easily buy a watch because it just looked beautiful but was not easy to read. And a classic example for me is again a Brietling the Navitimer is a beautiful vintage watch but i cannot read it.But who cares? <!-- s:up: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_Up.gif" alt="" title="Thumps up" /><!-- s:up: --> But i must admit that i prefer Bauhaus type watches what about you
