service or the lack of it

Imagine you buy a new car and send it in for a sevice or reperation and the workshop tells you that you can get your car back in 6 months time.Would you buy that car brand again? No i do not think so.But with watch people it is something that happens everyday all over the world.Are we idiots or what? Two years ago i put a Patek Aquanaut in for a normal service i got it back again 4 months later.I was talking to a friend of mine who is a Aut-IWC dealer he told me that he felt ashamed to tell a customer who had payed over 100000kr for a watch that he had to wait min-3 months to get it back from a service.It is a problem for many brands and they are not doing much about it.They just keep making watches without thinking about after sales service.Ther are of course brands that have good service but it seems to me that the more you pay for your watch the worse service you get.We should make a blacklist on all the worlds watch sites and hang these brands out to dry.They would soon change their tune.
