I think the word Tool means price in some ways. But it depends on how rich you are.I mean if you have loads of money what is there to stop you using a AP offshore as your hard use watch.Today we watch freaks think always about resale and not many use their watches for what they were made for.Watch brands know this and their finish on dive watches etc is more suited to dress watches.Look at Rolex the sub i was issued with in the english military does not look much like the modern sub.We nearly all use these watches today as a combination of dress and tool.I mean who buys a fucking ugly watch to wear daily? I cannot see a big difference between the Orient and Omega except the price and quality.I think however there are watches that can take wear and tear better than others and still look good.Sinn is a good example i think. And let us not forget Casio
I think we all know how hard it is to sell a watch today that is covered with hacks and sratches. We look at it and move on to the next watch for sale.So maybe Tool is just another word for a watch you cannot sell
