The Japanese and the Swiss have very different approaches to watch finishing . Just like the Glashutte tradition verses the Swiss tradition . So compairing them is not always easy . Let me put it in a simple way . The workmanship on a Grand Seiko is the equal of anything the Swiss can offer . The Japanese have a tradition for working with metal that began before the Swiss left their cave dwellings . Seiko can equal or better anything you can imagine in the watch world . I have the same respect for their top watches as i have for say Lange or Patek .
