top ten in ranking order is impossible.but top five is not so difficult.vc and patek were fighting each other for top spot,and i would say at this time vc.were just in front.after in no special order you had,ap-iwc-gp-jlc.all of these houses were at this time making fantastic complications,and many were built on jlc. calibers.the handwork and handfinish of this time will probably never be repeated again.other brands in the top ten were tag heuer omega-zenith-rolex-ulysse nardin.if we are talking about prestige mechanical horology and a production capacity not in the mini class.then the top six are in my opinion as i have written.willy
