IWC vil også være med til at binde ure sammen med internettet. De har dog valgt en anden vej end de fleste andre. IWC Connect bliver en "dims", som skal sidde på urremmen. Oplysningerne er endnu meget sparsomme. Her er et par citater fra pressemeddelelsen. Leveringstidspunkt ikke oplyst endnu.
Mest interessant er måske udtalelsen fra George Kern: "...we do not touch our beautiful watches"

Georg Kern has done more to screw up a once great brands image than anyone with his publicity stunts.The sooner they get rid of this guy,the happier i will be.He is all that is bad about the watch buisness,tied up in a marketing nightmare.

Man tror jo nærmest det er en joke, når disse halvhjertede forsøg udfolder sig for åben skærm. Enten vil man gå hele vejen ellers lader man andre om den sag.
Jeg kan gå med til at man laver et mekanisk ur der leverer power til tidsvisningen og smelter noget smart glas ovenpå, som kan vise data, men at man hænger en dims på remmen eller laver data i remmen, det er

Det er simpelthen for dumt, deres kernekompetencer er ikke smartwatches eller ure til tidsvisning for den sags skyld.
Det er dårligt design at begynde at mokke sådan en klump på...
