Jeg har ei Obris Morgan med et Miyota 8215 værk i. Det larmer en hel del når rotoren kører rundt.
Efter et fald holdt værket op med at gå.Jeg bestilte et nyt værk på ebay via en spansk leverandør. De første 2 jeg modtog gik slet ikke og han sendte bare et nyt mere og ville ikke have de andre retur. Det bekræfter vist Pers antagelse en smule.
9000 serien skulle efter hvad jeg kan se rundt omkring være et step bedre.

Er eta 2824-2 flottere visuelt? Google det evt.
Min mening er nej. Jeg har dog altid været tilfreds med eta. Det er slet ikke det. Jeg mener bare at Miyota 9000 serien kan konkurrere med ETA.

The proof of the pudding is in the eating.ETA calibers have a great track record in the watch world especially in Europe.Mioyto have many new calibers without a proven track record compaired to ETA.Both brands will i am sure,keep improving the reliability of their calibers.After all no one wants to be known for making rubbish.I think it is virtually impossible to compair all the calibers that both brands make.If i had to chose at this time,i would go for a ETA.But i would not say no to a watch because it had a Mioyta inside,because lets face it.It will never cost a fortune to service or replace this type of caliber.And as long as they tell the bloody time,well who cares.In my book they make workhorse calibers,and thats it.

Nu har jeg læst en del om begge værker. Og jeg må indrømme at jeg intet sted har set beviser på at ETA 2824-2 skulle være bedre. Hverken visuelt eller kvalitetsmæssigt!!!!!

Ok Per,
For dig er bedre finish = bedre drift sikkerhed hvis jeg forstår dit svar korrekt.
Der er vi så ikke enige hvilke er cool nok
Efter 2 BMW'er og et utal af Toyota'er er de også for mig meget lige på drift sikkerheden,
Selvom der er meget forskel på pris og finish.

PS.I would just like to add one little point.Mioyta are a massive concern,and from past experience with the Japanese watch industry.I would not be supprised to see them at the top of the mass producing caliber tree in the future.They have the ability to really threaten the dominence that ETA have had for many years.And with the gap left with ETA only supplying calibers to the Swatch Group,and only finished calibers to brands outside of Swatch,then the way is open for Mioyta.But again they will have to fight against the Swiss brand snobbery.Remember what Tag Heuer went through, they had all the watch snobs on their backs,when they developed a caliber based on a Seiko caliber.It was a good caliber,but because it was Japanese it was looked down upon.Its quite funny really,because many people still look down on Japanese cars,even if they are better made and more reliable than their European counterparts.The watch world is not that different <!-- s:lol: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_lol.gif" alt=":lol:" title="Laughing" /><!-- s:lol: --> <!-- s:lol: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_lol.gif" alt=":lol:" title="Laughing" /><!-- s:lol: -->
Before anyone reminds me that Tag kept quiet about the Japanese conection in the development of their caliber,i am aware of this.But it was the Japanese connection,that really pissed the purists off.
